So as a refresher, here is what we started with:
And after some light green paint, pale pink accessories, and lots of help from our family and friends, this is what we have ended up with:
I absolutely love how it has turned out. It's so cozy and comfortable. Feminine, but not obnoxiously girly. I'm so glad we decided to go with this instead of the purple and hot-pink, bedazzled Bratz theme that Kevin wanted.
I can't wait to rock her to sleep in this chair, underneath this homemade mobile. (The crib is in our room for now, next to the bed since there isn't much room in the nursery.)
Grandpa Michael took this piece-of-junk that I saw on craigslist and fell in love with, and restored it into a truly beautiful dresser/changing table.
I just finished this name banner today and hung it on the wall. Perfect timing to welcome our little girl home in just a few weeks!
I realize that babies don't need all of this frou-frou, but hopefully Lillie will look back on these pictures one day and realize how excited we were for her to arrive. Also, years and years from now it will be a nice reminder for us of what her room used to look like before she hit puberty and painted the walls black.
