Goodbye office...hello nursery!

We are finally getting around to clearing out Kevin's office to make way for all of the new baby things. Kevin will get to keep about a 4'x3' area to keep his desk and the computer, but the rest of the room is now being turned into an actual nursery. Since Kevin is being kicked out of his office, we decided to do a little home improvement and turn the utility closet on the back patio into a rumpus room where Kevin could put a folding chair, and with the help of some earplugs and the sports page, have some much needed "man time".

We plan on painting the walls of the new nursery soon, and adding a dresser that can double as a changing table. Since there is no closet in the room, last weekend we found an adorable gently used wardrobe on craigslist to hold all of the baby clothes we have started to receive.

We received about 40 years worth of baby clothes from Gramma Sandy a few weeks ago and I am just now getting around to organizing them by size/age and putting them away.

By the way, this photo has not been enhanced. My belly is actually that large already. I have over three months to go. Yikes. I beginning to think that we might not need to purchase very many baby items because it seems as though she has brought them all with her.

Don't bogart my Snoogle, man

I finally gave in and ordered on of those over-priced maternity pillows:

because I haven't had a good night's sleep in weeks. My ever-present backache paired with the fact that nowadays, doctors recommend that you don't ever sleep on your back, and furthermore sleep on your left side only, has made sleeping more than a half hour at a time rather difficult. I suppose this is God's way of preparing me for the sleepless nights to come.
But, before I had a chance to try it out, Kevin found that besides giving great back and belly support to his pregnant wife, it is quite beneficial to his habit of falling asleep sitting up watching Seinfeld reruns:

No more waking up at 3am with a sore neck!
